![]() Fortunately my flight was delayed, so I made it. The driver got me to the airport in the nick of time. ![]() I was frantic and asked them to send someone right away to get me to the airport, which they did. There had been some lack of communication between Super Shuttle and the local company and apparently the local company had received my reservation but never scheduled my pick up. They said they had no record of my reservation and referred me to the local company that is contracted by Super Shuttle Salt Lake City called "Execucar". It was getting close to my flight's departure time and I finally called Super Shuttle. I stood waiting outside my hotel and the van never came! I paid by credit card and received a confirmation and a pick-up time. (our streets are numbered, so that address is 3 blocks south and 3 blocks west of the center of downtown-and our blocks are LONG) There are lots of shops and restaurants in the Gateway if you can get yourself there.Pre-paid shuttle to SLC airport from my downtown hotel never came! I made the reservation online with Super Shuttle 24 hours in advance. I second the recommendation of Settebello's pizza, but you would need a car to get there, its near the Gateway Center on 300 W. The British Pantry shop (import shop with foodstuffs) is in the parking lot as is a Maverick convenience store/market with items like sandwiches and crisps. My brother and his wife stayed at the RL last year during ski season and the hotel van driver was really nice and took them to restaurants over at the Gateway shopping area (about 1-1.5 miles to the north of the RL hotel)īrewvies (a pub/cinema combination, which is really fun-you buy your movie ticket, order your food and then when it is ready you take it with you in the cinema and there are tables in front of your seats) I had meetings in the Red Lion last year and the conference rooms were only average, so I would guess that the guest rooms are nothing special. ![]()
